Twiddling My Thumbs

That is a picture atop one of the climbs at Big M, a trail system just a few miles east of Manistee, Michigan in the Manistee National Forest. While on the trail, sections criss-cross the legendary North Country Trail. Some beautiful riding. I was just going through a few of my photos and saw this one. Since I will be heading for the trail in a few hours... it is sunny with temps in the mid-50's... perfect riding weather... I was inspired by the image. The funny thing is, the second half of that outing was a horrid struggle between me wanting to smoke the trail and my legs deciding I wanted to walk up any challenge of a climb. I just think that my diet was way off while up there and no matter what I did, my body was running on the wrong fuels.

Nevertheless, I will be whizzing around the trail in a few hours and I'm already drifting from the work I need to get taken care of before I go... ride riDE RIDE!!! Yay!!!!
