Cotton Tops Everywhere

The snow is coming down today! And, of course I am stuck working through the daylight into the darkness >:X . As much as I have disliked the snow this season, I actually really like the snow... and Winter for that matter. I enjoy the four seasons... even though this season seems to last 5-6 months for us. Did that make sense?

Anyway, I would like to take a moment sometime before all the snow is gone to wander out of the garage for a little bit and scoot around in the snow. White powder flying and everything. Ever since I gave up on skiing and snowboarding, I haven't done many snow sports at all. I do run in the snow... but if I get the sliding feeling, that usually means a bad thing.

I would like to try cross country skiing. Even my wife said she might like to do that. If there is snow the next time we head up to North and Big M is ski-able, I might take her on. For now, however, I will just watch the snow drift down, trees accumulate giant cotton(top) balls and the old "deer in the headlights" drivers (cotton tops) white-knuckle their steering wheels.

Someone know of a good sledding hill?

Hi Roque,

There's a sledding hill in West Olive but I'm not sure if it meets your criteria of "good". ;-)

You can cross country ski there too - I think Breakaway Bikes still rents equipment. If you head up to North Muskegon you can rent ski's at the trail head.

Joe and I are thinking about trying some x-country Sunday. If you are in the area let me know.

Ciao,
Lisa
