Some Rainy Day Thoughts

I just handed off the transfer slip for the Iceman a few minutes ago. What a drag. I had some second thoughts, but figure my first call was the best one at the time. So I will stick with the original plan. Funny thing is that the original winner couldn't do the Iceman either due to conflicts, so Bob "Mister Intense" Lalley gets the nod for the race... as well as a nice short sleeve t-shirt to boot! Good luck out there!

The past couple of work days have been heinous. They followed me home and through the weekend which locked me down in the evenings and for good parts of my weekend visiting the in-laws up North. They plagued me up until this morning where a presentation is to occur at 12:30 (it is now 12:45) in NYC. I still don't know if I would be happier if we won the job or lost it. Some major complications both ways.

Late last week, I put some pedals back on the singlespeed, attached the front wheel and started to putz around the neighborhood. I then began t do running dismounts and remounts to see how it felt. Then picked it up and ran up the front steps of the house. It felt alright. I may still take this guy out on a cyclocross spin... but I still would rather build up a proper 'crosser to tear up the B races.
