Missed Again...

I think today may have been the last decent day of 2007. The rest of the days are downhill from here. The unfortunate part is that I was looking forward to a dusk ride at Robinette's. The problem was that I had very little time to get to the trailhead and put in some laps due to the season... dark setting in quickly. Sunset was 6:57PM so not much time at all. I bolted from the workplace shortly after 5PM and got home around 5:30... early for me as I usually get home around 6... but I really wanted to ride. I quickly get dressed, but my wife starts to talk... and completely says the wrong thing and talked way too long as the clock approached 5:45. She kept talking and a little arguement ensued. At 5:50 I started to take my cycling clothes off in the middle of the conversation which she completely reacted to... she knew I was now pissed. I reclothed in my "business attire" and told here to go for her walk and I would bag the ride and get fat.

I needed to get in and out to make a lap without lights. And seeing that I was planning on riding alone, it was not too smart to be roaming in the woods alone. So I spent about 4.5 hours rummaging through files and am now following up with a "to do" list and a bit of methodology and process thrown in to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Grrr... anyway, didn't ride. And haven't ridden for a couple of weeks now. I'm getting really "bitchy" for a guy. And unfortunately the only cure is to get out and ride to blow off some steam. It's not just the wife... but work (and a whole lot of stuff) is beating down on me really good.
