Dark Day in the Land of Toilets

This week and the next were slated to be rough going from the beginning of this week. First a heavy project load that quickly escalated into much more. Much more important, highly visible deliverables... for the big guy. And then my boss requested I stay the weekend for the project since time is short for the amount of deliverables... and I committed. But to top it all off, today was a very black day. My employer cut 455 jobs. And all it took was one to rattle me to my core... my fellow Sr. Designer was let go. He and I were peers in the same department. He even recommended I be hired when my stuff hit his desk. What more can I say? I'm burnt and struggling to get motivated. I still have a long weekend and week following before I can return to some normalcy. In short, I'm pretty bummed, confused and angry.
