Fresh Title Block!

Well, as much as I liked my old title block, I found something that has a bit of meaning to who I am as a cyclist... and a little more graphic to boot. The new block is none other than Lance Armstrong charging a climb. But more significant, the man in close pursuit is Pantani, one of the few cyclists I admired and respected while he was in the spotlight.

Much like Pantani's life, so are the roads, paths and trails we ride. Glorious and miserable all at the same time. I feel that. And so the hidden meanings, many more than I let on, in that photo echo the title of this blog, RoqueRode (Rocky Road), as a means of cycling and a path for life.

I also smattered the image with my fave colors of orange and a pale sky blue. Also a metaphor of opposites and contrasts both on the road and on the road of life.

Hopefully, the snow stops soon as I am getting antsy for a good ride. I read blogs of cyclists riding in San Francisco or Texas and I go mad in the confines of four cold walls. I watch as my mid-section balloons and I know the remedy, but I can't stomach the cure... and I take another step down the ladder. OK. Enough of that... I will go for a good run or spin for a good while this Saturday morning. Promise!
