Opening the riding season with a new batch of dirty birds. A lunchtime rumble through hidden trails, quiet neighborhoods and white-stained roads. Fun, fun! Great to get out on unfamiliar territory and be led.
Some of the trails were still covered with snow and hovering on them were a chore, but well worth the squish. A lot like wet sand... my specialty. Or at least a not so handsome liking to squirming through. The trails were a little wet but not sloppy... we were still ahead of the Spring thaw.
Equipment? The Trek Fuel 98 ran flawlessly. However, the locks on my roof rack bound... and I nearly broke my key messing with it with a little too much, ahem... muscle. Suffice it to say, I will be ordering a new key from Yakima tomorrow. Hehehehe...
